i have a new innovera wireless keyboard %26amp; mouse set. model # is IVR-63100.
it came with the cd driver but my computer can not read it (it really can read cds and dvds but after a week of use the computer stoped reading cds and writing cds)
my cd/dvd drive model is
HL-DT-DVDRAM_GSA-H10N ATA Device
so if you can help me on one of these problems i would really appreciate it (better if both)
thank you|||so lets then focus on your cd drive. we should be use your standard keyboard first. use the wireless keyboard later and follow these steps.
first shutdown your computer%26gt; unplug all cables at the back of your cpu%26gt; press the power button for about 60 seconds%26gt; open the cpu and unplug and replug the flat cable and power cable of your cd drive%26gt; put things back on and turn your computer back on%26gt; go to BIOS Setup by pressing or tapping DEL key when the computer is about to turn back on%26gt; once inside the BIOS Setup, lit the three lights on your key board by pressing Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock%26gt; highlight Default Configuration and press enter.%26gt; Save and exit.%26gt; Your computer will restart and test your cd drive again.
you can also try to uninstall and reinstall the driver of you cd writer if it doesnt write.
goodluck!|||I suggest that you bring it to a computer shop and have the cd repaired/cleaned. It may be that it's just dirty, so if you have a drive cleaner then do so, but I highly suggest that you bring it rather than do it yourself.
For your wireless equipments, If i'm not wrong, they're USB pluggable? If your windows does not automatically install the drivers after plugging then in,then bring it to a omputer repair shop at once, don't try any more cd's.|||You ought to fix the cd-rom, or at leased replace it with an ordinary one for now. Or, you may uninstall it from device manager in windows, it should pick it back up when you restart. That's if your O/S is XP and later versions. And about your cd/dvd drive, i think it may be an LG, or Hitachi. Just go to the manufaturer's website for the drivers or firmware. Be careful though about updating the firmware on the drive, as long as you've downloaded the right file for that particular model, i'm sure i will work a lot better. And if you install the wrong firmware, you might have to buy a new cd-rom, so make sure. Hope you fix you problem.
