Ipod has clicking npise and sad face help please!?

my boyrfirends uipod ahs been broken for about maybe three years and he gave it to me to see if i could fix it and so this ipod pops up with a sad face and clicks and a supportl link but ive been looking up how to fix it and ive tried the slap your hand to it , may i add you my wrist are hurting now lol ivr tried droping it and slaming it onto the table like every said that i read on , it all worked for then,.... if i could have help on this asap it would be amazing becuase i wannt to fix it for my boyfriend and surprise him. any methods and beating up ipod methods would be helpfull thank you!|||charge it up|||mine does that too


but it still turns on





just plug it into the computer, have itunes pop up then update, the leae it connected but eject it from itunes (theres a button to click on, look for it)) and it should let you browse the ipod and if it works. BAM, i helped you :)
