I was just diagnosed with chlamydia!?

I have been with the same partner for two years, ivr had routine tests the whole time, my last one was 6 months ago and everything was fine. I have not been unfaithful, and i know he hasnt, im his first, ive had 2 other partners more than 3 years ago, so theres no possibility i got it from them. we are so confused i dont know how this happened, is it possible the test could be wrong? when i went for my pap the doctor said everything looked healthy, that was about 2 weeks ago.

please no stupid comments, im just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

one of my friends and her husband experienced this same thing about 2 months ago? coincidence?|||were you BOTH tested at the beginning of your relationship? did you actually VERIFY his results - ie, were you there when the doctor told him he was clean, did you see it on paper, or hear it over the phone?

if you are absolutely 100% sure that you were both tested and came up clean, then i hate to break it to you, but either he had sex with someone else, or you did. i'm assuming if you are asking this question, that you probably did not have another partner.

the only other thing i can think of is that you didn't actually know for sure he was clean (as in, more than just trusting his word). and that you had been using a barrier method, like the condom, which prevented you from catching it. once you stopped using it (or skipped it once or more times), that's when you caught it.

those are really the only two things i can think of.

i had this same thing happen to me in the past - i thought for SURE he was clean, but turns out we were both wrong! once we stopped using condoms and used another method, what do you know, i caught it.

luckily it's easily curable. but if he cheated, that's harder to fix.

i wish you the best!|||are you sure your guys faithful? sometimes it takes awhile to get in your system.....|||Owned?|||Retest to eliminate a false positive. If second is the same, someones got some explaining to do.|||i agree with everyone else, std's just dnt appear out of the blue. someones not being truthfull and oral counts too as cheating.|||It is possible, but highly unlikely that the test is wrong. Practically every woman who gets an STD says she knows her partner has been faithful. This usually is not the case. Get your partner tested and you will know the truth.|||well usually you get symtoms of chlamydia within the 1st 3 weeks so if you didnt have symptoms then either it is something that just happened or the test could be wrong. You did say that this happened to your friend and her husband, do you use the same gyno and did you go get checked at a different doc? I hate to say it, but the only way to get chlamydia is from sex. So... did your partner get checked? If you know you haven't cheated and you have something that would mean that your current beau gave it to you.|||HUMM, I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THE TEST BEING WRONG! THE SAMPLES ARE COMING FROM YOUR BODILY FLUIDS! I SEE YOU HAVE BEEN *FAITHFUL TO YOUR PARTNER, BUT HAS HE REALLY BEEN FAITHFUL TO YOU? CHLAMYDIA DOESN'T JUST APPEAR! IF YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE'NT HAD SEX WITH ANYONE ELSE AND YOUR NOT LYING ABOUT IT, THERE'S ONLY ONE EXPLANATION!! %26lt;HE HAD TO HAVE DONE IT%26gt;

MEN CAN BE DUMB, BELIEVE ME! I KNOW!|||ahh i'm sorry but i believe he cheated on you|||its not something that hides in your system and just appears someone has played up.
