What do you do when you go for a job ?

when you have made a cv and letterof application, what do yuo do when you go into shops, do you ask for the manager , give it to the customer sevices or the people behind the counter, what do you do. also do you write a lettter or application that can apply to all jobs and not justone inperticular ?


Thanks :)|||Never Give your app to employees they will just throw it in the corner somewhere... always ask for a manager introduce yourself and and them the app personally! Goodluck|||If there's a paticular job you're interested in (Say shelf-stacker or checkout supervisor) then write it on the letter of application and attach it to your CV. Ask to see the manager, or if they're unavailable the assistant manager, and ask if they would consider your application when a position becomes available.





Make sure you choose a quiet time though. If you go in when the staff are rushed off their feet it's more likely that they will misplace your CV. Also, I recommend putting a short personal profile at the beginning of your CV. Write what you have done and why you're suited to the job in about 200 words to get the attention of the manager.|||Always ask for a manager to give your application to.


Letters of application should always be specific to the post applied for with the Company address and a contact name or title on them. Dear Mr/Ms if you know the name, Dear Sir/Madam if you don't.
